The acronym STEM (Science-Technology-Engineering-Mathematics) has been in use since the 1980s, although the concept has taken on new economic and curricular interpretations in recent years. This site draws on a multi- and inter-disciplinary interpretation of STEM and is inclusive of all disciplinary approaches to any of the STEM fields, including the social or cultural contexts of them.
